We’re Hiring, New Programs, and More!

The Food Finance Institute has been busy creating more opportunities, resources and systems to help us move money into food, farms and communities.

To best help our network during these times, we launched weekly consultant and entrepreneur huddles to facilitate peer learning and released two free on-demand courses to assist with two key issues of today: cash flow and getting online sales. In addition, we have successfully transitioned our Boot Camp and Consultant Training programs to digital offerings. Read more about what we’ve been up to below!

  • We’re hiring a Farm Outreach Specialist. FFI,in collaboration with the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center, is hiring an experienced individual to help grow and finance farm businesses across Wisconsin. Find the posting here. Please share broadly. Applications due July 31.
  • We’re focusing on farms in 2020! FFI received funding from the SBA to create farm-focused versions of our successful Food Hub- and Food Business-oriented Boot Camps and Consultant Training. Curriculum is being piloted this year in Wisconsin and will be offered as an option nationally for your organization or community. Read more about our Farm Business Initiative here.
  • We’re growing to better propel Wisconsin businesses. FFI has become the host organization for Wisconsin’s food and beverage accelerator. With this comes two new staff members to our team: Brad Rostowfske, FFI FaBcap Accelerator program manager, and Penny Molina, partnerships manager. Meet our new staff here.
